ALEX Labs Rental Studies: High-Income Renters Reach 2.6 Million

ALEX Labs just completed analysis of Rent Cafe‘s report on Millionaire and High-Income Renters. “…Renters in the…$150K+ …Highest Income Range Grew Faster Than All Other Income Groups…” Texas and California tied for States with the most cities with High Income Renters.

WHY RENT?

High home prices. In nine of the 10 cities where the number of top-earning renters leapfrogged considerably, growth in home prices was higher than the national average (29%).

WHERE ARE HIGH INCOME RENTERS LOCATED?

Texas and California tied for the largest number of cities in the US top 20 with 4 each. In Texas, Houston ranked no. 8, Austin ranked no. 11, Dallas ranked no. 12 ,and San Antonio ranked no. 20.

New York has the highest # of High Income Renter Households. San Francisco has the highest % of High Income Renter Households.
